89.7 WKSU

Today we did a gig for WKSU Players. We read some Mozart and Beethoven for an hour or so in the Rec Center. It was funny to see the reactions of people coming and leaving the gym. Most just walked by confused, but some curious ones stayed and watched. Overall it was a fun event and we got some t-shirts out of it.

Kent Free Concert

Thank you to all those who made it to our concert at Kent Free Library today. It was a great success. We have worked extremely hard this semester working on Haydn Op. 76, No. 1 and Bartok Quartet No. 4 so hopefully, you all enjoyed it.After our performance, we took advantage of the great weather to take some outdoor photos. There is an area under the downtown bridge with lots of water, green grass, and nice landscaping. There are several trains that pass by every hour and boy, they are loud. We are taking it easy for a few days, but we are looking forward to starting a ton of new repertoire.

Say Again?

We were pleasantly surprised this past weekend to win Grand Prize at the Plowman Chamber Music Competition. Up against dozens of amazing ensembles and performing in beautiful venues, we somehow came up on top.

Tension and Release

Spring is almost here and maybe we will soon see a little color back in our pale skin. Except for Eric...his skin is albino proof. Only a few more days until the Plowman Chamber Music Competition. We have a 10 hour drive ahead of us on Thursday to Missouri.
We ran our repertoire many times this past week. It has been pretty hard to concentrate, especially rehearse past midnight. Everyone is spaced out. Andrea can't focus.
